Though Texas Hold’em gets more attention, Omaha or Omaha Hi/Low is much better when it comes to action. It is quite similar to Hold’em, the difference is that the player gets 4 hole cards. With the 2 additional cards, the possibility of getting a best hand increases. The Hi/Low versions make these various poker games even more fun. The stakes get higher when the person who has hit bets like mad to wipe out the chasers.
The playing tactics for these varied types of games differ quite a lot as you would like to play with hands that can win you the entire pot. Scooping the pot entails winning both the Hi and Low versions of the game. All of the variables and the 4 hole cards guarantee that there is a ton of money in almost every pot.

Though there is a vast array of poker games to decide from, 7 card stud is an all time favorite. It comes with both Hi and Low versions. The pattern of dealing is 2 cards face up and then one face down. Every contender is dealt another card with its face up after one round of betting. This is repeated until all players in the hand have 2 down card and 4 up cards. After this stage of receiving the last down card, what happens is the final betting round.

Unlike other different types of poker games like Omaha, Holdem Stud Poker is not a chasers game. Another variation on 7 is Razz, a different type of poker game appropriate for people with bad luck. Instead of trying to get the winning hand, you are rooting for the worst hand possible. Unlike other games where having A-2-3-4-6-7-8 will have you banging your head, in Razz it is a dream hand. It is dealt and bet the same exact way as 7 stud, you just the lowest ranked hand on the board to win. Even here only 5 cards play like in stud.

Triple Draw is one more game which is drawing a lot of interest these days. It is full of action and great fun. If you play a disciplined game, you can earn money. This game is played often at low levels for the fun of it. This game is more or less a version of Razz that uses 5 card draw as its model. The players are given 5 cards and a round of betting takes place. You can get rid of the cards you do not need but the end result should be a worst possible hand. 2-3-4-5-7 is great for standard Triple Draw. When the first draw is over, one more betting and discard round takes place. Showdown occurs after a third draw followed by a round of betting. No pairs, flushes or straights are necessary to win. You only require the worst cards to win.
